Mini Roos Under 6 to Under 11

Our Mini Roos small sided football is for players aged between 5 and 10 on January 1st 2017. We aim to have fun and teach kids the basic skills of football.

All players that sign on in Mini Roos also take part in the Brisbane Roar Development Program for 5 weeks starting on the 2nd of February 2017. Sign your child up now to secure your spot!

Registration Cost: $300 inc GST for the season which includes the Brisbane Roar 5 week Development Program.

Brisbane Roar 5wk Program Starts: Thursday 2nd of February & continues for the next 5 weeks.  Sessions will be held at The North Lakes State College fields, Innovation Pl., North Lakes.

Roar Program Times:

  • U6 & U7 - 4:30pm to 5:20pm
  • U8 & U9 - 5:30pm to 6:20pm
  • U10 & U11 - 6:30pm to 7:30pm

*Please arrive 10minutes before the session starts and bring water and insect repellent. All players MUST wear shin pads*

All players are required to play in club shorts, socks and are required to arrive at games wearing a club training shirt. Each player must also wear shin pads during both training and games. Football boots are not mandatory but recommended.

2017 U6 to U8 Players

Under 6 is for players born in 2011

Under 7 is for players born in 2010

Under 8 is for players born in 2009


Players in the Under 6 to Under 8 age groups are not graded. At this age, we focus on playing with mates and developing the foundation skills needed to play football.

 

Training Commences: Mid February/March (time and day depends on the Coach)

First Season Game: Saturday 18th of March 2017

2017 U9 to U11 Players

Under 9 is for players born in 2008
Under 10 is for players born in 2007
Under 11 is for players born in 2006

Teams in U9, U10 and U11 are graded into three competitive division: Geckos, Goannas & Komodo Dragons. Each player is graded based on skill, ability to play in a team and coach-ability. 

Grading for Komodo teams was completed in November. Further grading (including new players to the club) will be undertaken as part of the Brisbane Roar pre-season training sessions in February.

Training Commences:
 Mid February/March (depending on coach)
First Season Game: Saturday 18th March 2017
